Under The Big Top

15 Jun 2013

Our lovely client Liz is throwing her adorable son a party for his 2nd birthday.  We designed this circus/carnival theme set up for him.  The colors are so vibrant and works so well with the theme, mind you this design can be used for either a boy or a girl, I dont think you can go wrong with this.

I am going to love seeing everything put together at the party, which by the way I am coordinating.

So what do you think, would you use this for your next party?

Will share more photos after the party. TaTa for now.

Emilia's Couture Invitation

13 Jun 2013

I just got the most amazing review on WeddingWire from a customer, I honestly can say I was floored when I received this. I actually hadnt heard from Emilia since I sent the invitations, I got a little nervous.  Of course I know she has been busy planning her big destination wedding which is coming up in November.  She is getting married in Hawaii (yes Im a little jealous :) ), to her lovely man Fausto.  They are having family and friends come in from all over the place to attend this lovely and elegant affair.

We actually spoke after I got the review and what perfect timing it was, as it turns out some of the invitations that were sent to Italy were lost in the mail she was frantic about them.  I have created the new invitations for her and they will be shipped out today, but since I am in a sharing mood, I thought this would be a good time to share the invitations with you.

But first, you have to read this review... Absolutely amazing!

I can not say enough about marlene from Amira designs. Her stationary is beyond beautiful, she is very accommodating, responds quickly. I have gotten so many compliments on my invites. I was told they looked like a royal invite, i have seen them displayed in glass at my friends homes.
She help me in finding the perfect material and made my invites the talk of the town...they were beautiful purple flower material pillows with a gorgeous rhinestone broach delivered in a pearl white box. I added a bow and they looked like gifts.. I have never seen or received an invite like hers. Her prices are reasonable for the works of art she provides. Right down to the thank you cards..
YOU ARE THE BEST!!

THANK YOU
Highly recommended !!!

And now that you have read the review, it is time to see the invitations that inspired such great praise

Each invitation pad was covered in lavender Chinese silk brocade fabric to create a stunning backdrop for the invitation.  We added a ribbon with a beautiful crystal buckle to hold the invitation in place.

The invitation and the additional accessories were printed on snow white metallic card stock.  Once the printing and cutting was done, we added swarovski crystals to the invitation and accompanying stationery.

After all was said and done, we placed a white satin pillow inside this gorgeous white metallic box so the invitation can have a nice home.

So what do you think of this? Was it worth the review?

Hope you have a fantastic day, with more clients like Emilia I cant have bad days. I am truly blessed.

TaTa for now, until next time.

Pink and Grey Baby Shower

10 Jun 2013

My amazing client Vanessa  called and was throwing a baby shower for a friend who recently adopted a new baby girl. Her name is Sydney and she is seriously adorable. I just love babies, I wish mine were still young again. I miss those days so much.

Any way I digress, Vanessa wanted to throw Anne a surprise baby shower and her color scheme was pink and grey.  She said she didn't have a particular theme in mind, but would be happy if I incorporated those colors for her.  I don't know if you are noticing a theme here because so far that is two clients in a very short period of time that gave me carte blanche to do what I wanted.  Hmmm, I think I am going to get spoiled fast  if I get any more like this. So I went ahead and gave her my ideas and she loved them, so I am sharing with you.  The order is done and delivered, and she loved it. Hopefully the new mommy loves it, I will hear about it next week. Hopefully I get more pictures to share.

This Onesies Banner came out so cute, I used glittered covered clothespins and attached it to twine to give it the appearance of clothes hanging to dry.  Added a little pink bows on the letters that were done in grey

On the cupcake toppers, I used grey chevron print in the back and added welcome baby on pink using a lovely script font and then topped it off by using the same pink bow.

For the last banner, I created a sweet shop inspired banner, I added scalloped topper on each pennant style banner and cut out the letters using grey.  I then topped it off by adding a fuchsia colored rhinestone mesh, which seriously has become my favorite toy of late.

All the pieces came out so cute, I couldn't wait to get them to my client. She loved them, and she said that she will call me to discuss her daughters birthday next month. I love repeat customers, they really are the best.

Ta ta for now, I hope to get photos of the event soon so I can share.
