Baptism

29 Sept 2014

I was recently contacted by a client for a baptism invitation for her son. She wanted something simple and elegant but didnt want to break the bank.  Totally understandable, I was in the same boat when I first had my kids.

I came up with a design that she loved, it both met the elegance aspect and definitely stayed well under her budget.

I have added these to my etsy store for purchase, if your interested, check them out.   They are printed on the same high quality shimmer card stock and available in various colors.

These came out super cute, and the little accent cross that is added totally added a beautiful aspect to the invitations.  To add an extra element for my client, we added rounded corners to complete the design and upgraded the envelopes to shimmer envelopes.   The ensemble looked amazing together,!

Alice in Wonderland

25 Sept 2014

Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorites growing up, and even today when a new version comes up whether on TV or in the movies, it is a must watch.  When my client contacted me and told me that they were throwing an Alice in Wonderland theme birthday party for their daughter, I jumped at the chance to create a new design.

Alisa wanted to keep the colors neutral and bright, but didnt know what kind of invitation she wanted.  I created a scroll, since those are always fun and different when presenting to your guests.   The scroll dowels were done in red, we added pinks and blues to the invitation.  Everything was printed on the shimmer paper, to add the elegance that Alisa was looking for, and tie it off we put a corset ribbon closure, along with a skeleton key to keep with the Alice theme.

What do you think of this.  I love the way the colors work together and all the little details make this look amazing.

Alisa loved the invites, we are going to work on a design for the decorations next. I cant wait to get started on those, they are going to be so much fun.

Peachy Keen

28 Jul 2014

I have been working with a new client that wanted something unique for her wedding invitation.  She loves the retro look and feel and wanted something that was unique to her and her fiance.  In our meeting she mentioned that here and fiance met in high school, drifted apart and reconnected again, and now they are getting married.

I put my thinking cap on and capitalized on the fact that they met in high school.  And this is what I came up with.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I am in love with this invitation, it brings back so many great memories for me.

What do you think?

Art Deco Wedding

24 Jul 2014

I am in love with this new design, that we created for Bridgette.  She wanted something a little Art Deco with rich colors.  I designed a beautiful double sided invitation with a gorgeous art deco design on the back featuring the beautiful peacock in Navy and Gold with a slight hint of Greens.

The invitation was printed on a heavy weight 16pt card stock with rounded corners, for the  RSVP we created a die cut in a beautiful frame design we used the same stripe design from the invitation on the back.

What is your invitation style?

Barnyard Birthday Bash

22 Jul 2014

A client of mine is having a birthday party for her adorable son, who is turning one. The theme is a Barnyard Bash complete with petting zoo for the little ones.

When she told me about the petting zoo and all the miniature animals that are going to be there, I got really inspired to create.  I designed the invitation for Dylan using a cow hide background, and when I got started on that I couldn't stop there.  I made little milk carton favor boxes for the little ones, and adorable little cupcake toppers, as well as a cute little banner.

I love how all these came out. What do you think?

Day 5 - Eiffel Tower Wedding Invitation

16 Jul 2014

Day 5

Mimi contacted me about creating an invitation for her wedding, she loved the french theme invitations I had done in the past and definitely wanted to use feathers in her design to match her wedding dress.   I had been out shopping earlier in the day and came across a new line of paper from Italy that I fell in love with, and when she called and explained what she wanted I knew which paper I had to use.

Her invitation was printed on a beautiful metallic card stock and placed on a gorgeous and vibrant silk infused card stock.  This paper not only looks fantastic it feels silky and soft.  I cant wait to use it again, believe me when I tell you, the color selection on this line is amazing.

I digress, back to Mimi's invitation. we decided on our exclusive pocket design for the invitations and added a lovely ribbon with feathers and crystal brooch.

The invites came out so gorgeous, and Mimi loved them. After all that is what really matters. Making my brides happy.

14 Jul 2014

Day 4

Marjorie and Fred are getting married in Barcelona,  (I'm seriously jealous).  Marjorie wanted something unique for her save the dates. I created this lovely die cut invitation using of course flamenco dancers.

We decided to make this a double sided card so that you can see the beautiful dancers in full detail.
We tied off the invitation with a beautiful red ribbon.

I cant waitt to design the wedding invitation, This is going to be so much fun.

Rustic Baby Shower

7 Jul 2014

With wedding season in full swing, things have been crazy, leaving me no time to share much with you.

I have decided to take some time to show some of our newest creations.  Get ready for some fun.

Day 1

This Rustic Baby Shower Invitation

This was created for our beautiful event planner and her client.

I used a gorgeous pink and off white shimmer card stock to make it a bit more feminine along with the burlap to tie the rustic theme together.

On the front of the card, I created a name tag which was die cut in a beautiful design and added some pearls, and placed everything in a matching pink shimmer envelope.

Spring and Summer Wedding Trend

14 Apr 2014

Wedding Invitations don't have to big to make a huge statement.  More and more of my clients are asking for unique designs that make their event stand out.

I was inspired to design this invitation for a beautiful client who wanted her invitations to be something no one else has seen or used for her upcoming garden wedding.

I started by creating a beautiful background for and instead of creating a folder for invitation, I decided on creating a little treat bag.  What is a party with out treats, and a wedding is biggest party of all.

Once I got going on the background design and the treat bag was in place, I went for the invitation.  I really think these came out lovely

Who says treat bags have to be used for food treats anyway, and while we are on the subject who says receiving these little lovely's isn't a better treat?

These little 4x6 bags fit everything you could possibly need for your invitations, and honestly these are absolutely adorable, even if I do say so myself.

And because I can, I had to add a crystal to the invitation, and after all I do love the bling....

So what do you think of these?  Please let me know. Thanks!

Baptism

12 Apr 2014

Angie contacted me to create an ensemble to her son's baptism and 1st birthday celebration.  Her color choices were silver navy and brown, she was unsure what colors combination she wanted to go with but she knew she didn't want to use the basic pastel colors.

We started with so many different designs and ended with a wax seal monogram invitation, in silver, navy and white.  I added crystals to make the invitation pop and although the color of the crystal is a light blue, I think Angie really liked it.

I really liked how the whole ensemble came out, what do you think of it?

On a side note, I have to share, I was truly impressed with FedEx shipping. I sent out the invitations on Saturday to Canada, and surprisingly my client received them on Monday.  I guess it is true what they say, you get what you pay for.  Thank you Fed Ex for making my client happy.

Feathers and Glitter

10 Apr 2014

Nahla is turning 1 and Nicole is having a huge party for her first birthday.  When Nicole contacted me and asked if I can change my wings invitation a bit for her daughter's birthday I was more then happy to do it.  She wanted pink feathers and wanted to add gold glitter.

I adore these invitations, and I think Nicole had a great plan for the party, I cant wait to see the photos. I will definitely share when they come in.

So what do you think of the outcome?

ON a side note, I love feathers but working with them can get a bit messy.  After the order was completed, I was covered in feathers and glitter, such a great combination... My studio still has glitter everywhere, if anyone has an idea about cleaning glitter please leave a comment.

Sweet 16 Cruise

8 Apr 2014

Jaclyn in turning sixteen and her mom is taking her and her friends on a cruise to the Bahamas.   When Stacie contacted me and told me about the cruise I knew immediately what I wanted to do.  We decided on a boarding pass invitation, at first I had a hard time figuring out the color combination, but when Stacie told me what Jaclyn's favorite colors were it made it so much easier.

Her  favorite colors are turquoise and lime green.  I think I hit the mark on these.

These colors worked so well together, I couldn't believe how gorgeous they were when put together.  I was a bit apprehensive at first but as soon as I saw the paper layout I fell in love.

Stacie said that Jaclyn was gushing over the invitations. I cant wait to hear what her guests think

Napkin Folding and Napkin Etiquette

4 Apr 2014

I had a dinner party a couple of weeks ago and was looking for instructions on folding napkins.

I came across this site through pinterest and just had to share. There are some great folds on this site with easy step by step instructions.

My favorite fold by far is the Diamond Silverware Pouch, so pretty.

Even though I dint get a chance do this fold for my party because I was rushed and ran out of time, I will definitely be doing it for Easter brunch in a couple of weeks.

But, what I really like about this site, is not only does it have the folds, it has a great article on Napkin Etiquette, which I will be sharing with my kids shortly...  But thought this is information that everyone should have. Enjoy the article and try the folds, I think this one would look gorgeous using a chevron print napkin. What do you think

Meron & Simon

11 Mar 2014

I have been absolutely crazy busy these last couple of weeks trying to get these invitations out for a new client.

Sewit called me last month and told me that her little brother was getting married and they are planning a huge celebration in May for the wedding.

Sewit and her  future sister in law Sineet are in charge of the invitations as well as the planning of the wedding.  With a guest list of over 400 family and friends, and a short time frame to get the invitations out to the guests, I knew we needed to get to work immediately on the design and the production.

Needless to say, being in a rush causes a few hiccups, so I do advise if you ever have to place an order for such a large amount of invitations, please consider that someone (like me) has to put them together.  But I digress, we were still able to finish these within 4 weeks, I have to say, my team was such a great help I dont think I would of been able to finish these without them.

I was surprised that we were able to get these out in such a short time, I usually have more time for these kinds of invitations.  But the finished product was perfect, and when Sewit saw them she fell in love.  So in the end it was well worth the effort.

400 invitations and two sleepless nights later, and not to mention quite a few paper cuts, they invitations are done and delivered, and here they are for your viewing pleasure.
