Alice in Wonderland

25 Sept 2014

Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorites growing up, and even today when a new version comes up whether on TV or in the movies, it is a must watch.  When my client contacted me and told me that they were throwing an Alice in Wonderland theme birthday party for their daughter, I jumped at the chance to create a new design.

Alisa wanted to keep the colors neutral and bright, but didnt know what kind of invitation she wanted.  I created a scroll, since those are always fun and different when presenting to your guests.   The scroll dowels were done in red, we added pinks and blues to the invitation.  Everything was printed on the shimmer paper, to add the elegance that Alisa was looking for, and tie it off we put a corset ribbon closure, along with a skeleton key to keep with the Alice theme.

What do you think of this.  I love the way the colors work together and all the little details make this look amazing.

Alisa loved the invites, we are going to work on a design for the decorations next. I cant wait to get started on those, they are going to be so much fun.

I have been working with a new client that wanted something unique for her wedding invitation.  She loves the retro look and feel and wanted something that was unique to her and her fiance.  In our meeting she mentioned that here and fiance met in high school, drifted apart and reconnected again, and now they are getting married.

I put my thinking cap on and capitalized on the fact that they met in high school.  And this is what I came up with.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I am in love with this invitation, it brings back so many great memories for me.

What do you think?
