Victorian Junk Journal

23 Nov 2016

My newest obsession.........

I have been going crazy the last few month, work has been beyond thrilling, but super busy. But sometimes I get so busy, I just can't work, I know it sounds crazy but I feel like I need to take a break from the day to day so that I can catch my breath and re-focus my energy on my art, so that I can provide my clients with the best service possible.

So in one of my moments of re-grouping, I was trolling YouTube and came across these gorgeous creations, Junk Journals, can I just say WOW! I don't know why I didn't think of that myself, but Im glad someone did.  I was so inspired by what I saw, and being a journal junkie myself, I started watching more videos and next thing you know I am making them myself. Can I just say, this new adventure has been so energizing and beyond therapeutic, I love making these one of a kind books.

Over the next few days (possibly weeks) I will share my designs with you, and link them to my etsy shop.

So lets get started, this is the 3rd book I made, the first two were sold before I was even finished, so exciting!  I created the book from scratch, using chipboard for the covers, I added coffee dyed paper, tons of pockets, handmade envelopes and ribbon through out the book.

This beauty sold last week, but do take a look at the photos and let me know what you think.

I seriously enjoy making these and I will share more photos with you over the next few days or weeks. I am currently working on 3 new ones. It is great!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Miller's Mercantile

Oh Boy! it sure has been a while since my last post!  It has been a crazy and exciting year.  Im so jazzed to see what happens next.

I would like to share a few of the projects that have taken up so much of my time over the last few months/years.

So my little sister contacts me and tells me that she is going to have a little one, it has been so long since we have had a baby in our family I think I went a little crazy.  I am so in love with this little guy, he has been a source of love and happiness in our family.

Here are some of the events that have taken up my time for the little guy.  I cant wait to do more.

So we (I) decided on a Cowboy Theme for the baby shower, and this is what I came up with for the invitations.

We held the shower at the beautiful Brand Library, the setting and was perfect.  A friend of ours created this gorgeous dessert table for my sister. I was floored when I saw all the details.

Yes that silhouette in the background, is mommy and daddy at their wedding day.

Look at all the details on this table.  I swear Eva should really be doing this professionally, she is amazing!

Of course we couldn't have a cowboy theme event without throwing in a wagon cart and a teepee.

The shower was truly amazing, everyone had a fantastic time!  Mommy and Daddy sure enjoyed themselves.
